Your home should be a reflection of who you are and represent the things you love and are comfortable with, so when it comes to choosing the ‘perfect’ colour there is no real formula – colour is such a personal choice.

I always tell my clients to look at pictures in magazines or on Pinterest etc and save the images you are drawn to and love – this is a good starting point if you have no idea and the thought of selecting colours is overwhelming.

When you decide to paint your home or commercial property, it’s a large investment financially so the pressure is on to the get the colours right. To gain the most out of your investment, I believe it’s best to choose neutral colours that won’t date.

A more classic and timeless approach to the base colours gives the opportunity to add different colour and textures with accessories such as cushions, artwork, vases etc.

If you are repainting the exterior the same idea works – a modern, neutral colour scheme captures people’s attention (for all the right reasons) and adds value, which is what most people want to achieve, particularly if you are an investor or eventually thinking of selling.
